Welcome to the Office of Financial Aid

The City College Financial Aid Office administers federal and state funds, as well as those provided by special programs, the City University of New York and the College itself, to ensure that you have an opportunity to pursue higher education at CCNY. The office will work with you to combine scholarships, grants, loans, work-study opportunities and governmental benefits into a package to help meet the difference between the cost of college and the contributions you and your family are expected to provide.

Feel free to learn requirements about grants, scholarships and loan programs. Most of our awards are "need based", and you will have to maintain "good academic standing". to qualify for your awards. See the Federal and New York State Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements.

Students who do not meet SAP may submit an appeal to have their federal financial aid reinstated, please review the deadline page on the financial aid webpage.

This means that you can submit your financial aid documents securely without having to come into the campus Financial Aid Office. As the students and the college financial aid staff work through the forms, the Student Forms software will send updates in real time with documentation that is needed based on the answers provided by the students. Once you have submitted all your forms to resolve outstanding financial aid tasks, the integration with our other CUNY applications will update CUNYfirst in real time.

Create Account
CUNY has implemented the Single Sign-On (SSO) feature with CUNY Student Forms. You will see the “Verify My FAFSA” To Do list item in their CUNYfirst Student Center. You will click the link in the To Do list item which will direct you to the CUNY Student Forms website. The SSO will log you into the portal where you will need to confirm your personal identifying information (Name, SSN, & Date of Birth) that matches your FAFSA.
