Naajidah Correll is pursuing a major in English Literature with a double minor in Black Studies and Anthropology. She is focused on issues of identity, culture, politics and religious systems. This Yonkers native has partnered as a teaching artist with local organizations in Westchester and New York City to create accessible arts education programs, as well as address issues of community development and anti-violence. She has been recognized for her contributions to Girls Inc of Westchester anti-bullying "Allies in Action" program. In the past, Naajidah has received the Young Writer's Award twice by Sarah Lawrence College and the Greater New York Chapter of the Fulbright Association. Her current research explores how Pan-African sociopolitical movements have shaped spirituality within Black and Latinx communities in America.
