2021-2024 College Research Council (CRC)
The College Research Council (CRC) is responsible for reviewing research and scholarship throughout City College and the related opportunities and policies. The CRC contributes to the development of strategies and programs to support and expand CCNY's comprehensive research agenda. This entails working closely with faculty to encourage and facilitate research and scholarly activities in all academic areas and developing new College-wide research programs. The CRC will consider and make recommendations to the Associate Provost for Research on the promotion and support of research and scholarly activity.
The membership of the CRC is composed of the deans of each of the College’s divisions or their designees and four faculty members elected by the Faculty Senate. Additionally, the Council will contain the following ex officio but without vote members - Senior Advisor to the President, Director, Grants & Sponsored Programs, Director, Innovation Management, and Associate Provost for Research. The faculty appointees shall serve three-year terms with a limit of two consecutive terms. The Chair of the CRC will be elected by the Council and will be a tenured faculty member at the rank of Full Professor, with a record of scholarly activity and sustained external funding.
