A proposed streetcar, which will stretch along the East River connecting Brooklyn and Queens, is expected to bring New York City up to date with cities across the world.
Gilda Barabino, dean of CCNY’s Grove School of Engineering, authors a chapter in the new book, Changing the Face of Engineering, on cross-disciplinary initiatives for minority women faculty. She also is highlighted for her work as head of the biomedical engineering laboratory that is a leader in research on sickle cell anemia and cellular and tissue engineering.
Based on a paper presented to the Carnegie Council's Global Ethics Fellows Fifth Annual Conference, "An Ethical Dialogue between Asia and the West: Philosophical Traditions, Moral Contentions, and the Future of US-Asia Relations," by Professor Rajon Menon, the Anne and Bernard Spitzer Chair in Political Science at the Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership.
