Biography
Shaun Halper earned a Ph.D. in History at University of California, Berkeley and was the Blaustein Postdoctoral Associate at Yale University, where he specialized in Jewish History, late modern European history (1789-present), and LGBTQ history. Shaun earned a second Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at The City College of New York. His dissertation in Clinical Psychology took up how psychodynamically-oriented psychotherapists treat the intergenerational transmission of historical trauma. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at Lenox Hill Hospital, as well as externships at VA NY Harbor Healthcare System (Manhattan VA), Montefiore Medical Center Substance Abuse Treatment Program, The Psychological Center, and volunteer experiences at Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv. Prior to his graduate trainings, Dr. Halper completed his BA at Columbia University.
