Clinical Medicine- Community Health Centers

The Clinical Medicine Program has developed a partnership with a network of community health centers to provide clinical experiences for BS-MD students in the fourth year Patient-Doctor course (MED 42700and MED 42800).  These community health centers provide primary care services to patients in a variety of neighborhoods in New York City, including medically under-served areas.  Students have an opportunity to shadow medical practitioners, learn how to do an intake interview, and gain valuable first-hand experience.

The centers include:

·         Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center

·         Charles B. Wang Community Health Center

·         Community HealthCare Network

·         Montefiore Medical Group at Castle Hill

·         Morris Heights Health Center at Burnside

·         Ryan Chelsea-Clinton Community Health Center

·         William F. Ryan Community Health Center

·         Urban Health Plan
