Learn about the Spitzer School's one-year, post-professional program for students with architecture and landscape architecture backgrounds -- Urban Design (Master of Urban Planning) -- and its focus on participatory urbanism, the premise that only a combination of leadership, technical, and design skills will lead to meaningful change in the way we think, plan, and construct our built environments. Building on the leadership of the late Michael Sorkin, the program is specifically designed to foster new conversations in response to our urbanized planetary crises and provide transformative alternatives that radically reimagine our cities as equitable, diverse, resourceful, and ecologically nimble.

Program presentation by Program Director Julio Salcedo-Fernandez followed by informal Q&A with him and Hannah Borgeson from the graduate admissions office.

Our next admission deadline is in January 2021 to begin studies in Fall 2021. Please see instructions on our Graduate Application Instructions page.
