School of Education 2019 Information Guide
SOE GRADUATION CEREMONY
Date: Wednesday, May 29, 2019
Time: Graduates line up at 4:00 PM. Ceremony begins promptly at 5:00 PM
Location: South Campus Great Lawn
TICKET DISTRIBUTION (3 per graduate)
The SOE Graduation Ceremony includes September 2018, February 2019 & May 2019 graduates.
Each graduate will receive three (3) tickets for his/her guests. As a graduate, you do not need a ticket for the Ceremony, however, each of your guests will need a ticket.
Please RSVP and order your 2019 School of Education Commencement tickets.
CAP & GOWN (REGALIA) DISTRIBUTION (Marshak’s Nat Holman Gym)
All graduates participating in the SOE Graduation Ceremony must march in cap and gown, which must be picked up by Tuesday, May 30, 2018. Please be sure to bring ID with you to that location.
Online pre-ordering for Caps & Gowns: The deadline for student to pre-order their cap & gowns online is April 19, 2019. For additional information on Graduate Salute, please contact: Department of Student Life and Leadership Development.

Friday, May 31st, 7:30 am - 8:30 am (Nat Holman Gymnasium)

If you did not pre-order a cap and gown…
You can order and pick up both your cap and gown in NAC 1/211 on the above dates and times.
Cash, money orders, credit card and debit cards will be accepted for payment. No personal checks will be accepted.
LATIN HONORS CORDS/CERTIFICATES (Undergraduates ONLY)
Undergraduate students who graduated with honors will be corded on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the SoE Scholarships and Honors Reception, which will be held from 5PM – 7PM in the Faculty Dining Room (FDR). You will be receiving your invitation very soon. If you will be unable to pick up your honors cords and certificates at the reception, please come to NAC 3/203B.
The ceremony will go on rain or shine. You and your guests should prepare for the possibility of inclement weather and bright sunlight.
DURING THE CEREMONY
Please emphasize to your guests that aisles and walkways must remain clear and that they and you must remain seated during the entire ceremony and procession.
Programs will be on your chairs. They will contain the names of September 2018 and February 2019 graduates, and May 2019 candidates for graduation, as provided by the Office of the Registrar.
Island Photography will be there to take professional photographs as you cross the stage and also when you exit the stage.
