City College Fellow/Isaacs Scholar
Dedipta Bhattacharjee is a junior at the City College of New York, majoring in English (with a Creative Writing concentration) and Asian Studies. She is also minoring in journalism and in the Publishing Certificate Program. She is a Kaye Scholar and a part of the NBCU Academy Fellowship. Her research interests lie in global perspectives of feminism and how they correlate and contradict each other. She is interested in contemporary fiction focused on Asia, Latin America, and Africa and how the protagonists' disparity in ethnicity and socioeconomic backgrounds build a unique idea on feminism. Outside of her classwork, she enjoys reading, writing poetry, and traveling through the city looking for inspiration and a good cup of coffee.
