The Daniel Patrick Moynihan Center of the Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership at The City College of New York has announced its inaugural cohorts of Moynihan Leaders-in-Residence and Postdoctoral Fellows. CCNY appoints Renata Kobetts Miller permanent dean of Humanities & the Arts

Author and Professor Renata Kobetts Miller has been appointed dean of the Division of Humanities and the Arts at The City College of New York. She was previously named interim dean in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic when teaching had to pivot quickly to online learning. During that time, Miller secured federal funds to support staff and update technology. The Division of Humanities and the Arts teaches more students across the entire College than any other division. Chokshi, M.D., the former commissioner of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, has been appointed the inaugural Sternberg Family Professor of Leadership at The City College of New York’s Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership. The documentary film “The Five Demands” premieres in New York on Thursday, July 13 at Maysles Documentary Center in Harlem followed by a one-week run at the Firehouse Cinema in Chinatown, beginning Friday, July 14.
