Profile
Elizabeth Dunn-Ruiz holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from The New School, an M.S. in Urban and Multicultural Education from the College of Mount Saint Vincent, and a B.A. in English Literature from Hunter College. Elizabeth also completed two years of studio training at the Experimental Theatre Wing of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
Her first full time teaching job was in the English department at South Bronx High School. She went on to co-found Bronx Theatre High School where she worked as the Artistic Director, Literacy Coach, English teacher, Performance teacher and Director of numerous plays, both published and original student work.
Elizabeth worked as a Master Teaching Artist at Roundabout Theatre Company for twelve years, including serving as the Playwright Mentor for six seasons of the Roundabout Youth Ensemble. She taught Children's Literature and many other English courses at Bronx Community College where she worked for eight years.
She is a New Theatre Teacher Mentor through the Arthur Miller Foundation.
