Ismael Perez

Ismael Perez was appointed Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance & Administration for The City College of New York (CCNY) in February, 2024.  His portfolio of oversight includes Accounting & Controllership, Financial Planning & Analysis, Payroll, Bursar, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Food Services and the Campus Store.

Mr. Perez comes to CCNY with more than thirty years of progressive financial leadership across higher education, and healthcare. He is a member of the President’s Cabinet and serves on a variety of special committees, including the Treasurer of the Auxiliary Enterprises Corporation, board member of the City College Student Services Corporation and a Co-Chair of the Middle States Committee.  His responsibilities include the development, execution and stewardship of CCNY’s multi-hundred-million-dollar operating budget and the planning and day-to-day management of all financial and business services.  During his time at CCNY, he helped close the College’s operating deficit through coordinated operational, enrollment, and fiscal reforms.    

Mr. Perez holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Columbia University, and a Master of Business Administration degree, with a concentration in Accounting, from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College.
