Profile
Jaclyn was born and raised in Chicago, IL, but resided in South Florida the past 12 years. She recently relocated to New York to assume her position as the Assistant Dean of the CUNY School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program. Although, she is no stranger to NY, she has family throughout NYC that she looks forward to being closer to.
She completed her undergraduate degrees in Biology and Women’s Studies at Loyola University Chicago, her graduate degrees in Clinical Medical Sciences and Public Health at Barry University, and will be completing her Doctorate in Medical Science degree at Lynchburg College this Fall. Jaclyn has been a Physician Assistant (PA) for the past 10 years, and is highly skilled in the field of Dermatology, having served as a practice consultant and an advisory board member for numerous organizations. She is active in physician assistant organizations at both the state and national level, serving in various leadership roles.
Her career in academia began precepting students in their clinical year of study and serving as a Retention and Intervention Specialist. Shortly after, she joined Miami Dade College PA Program as a member of the full-time faculty, rising through the ranks as the Program’s Clinical Director, MMS Coordinator, and ultimately Program Director and Chairperson for the School of Health Sciences. Jaclyn is passionate about the future of the PA profession and the success of the CUNY PA Program. CUNY prides itself in training a diverse PA workforce, which is essential to meeting the healthcare needs of our community.
