Mohamad FallahRad holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering. He is an educator and a system level designer of medical devices. He has leveraged his expertise in electronics to make contributions in neuromodulation and cancer research, developing precise laboratory equipment. He has also created a specialized wearable medical device for visually impaired pediatric patients, demonstrating how a simple and practical solution can generate a positive impact. Currently, he is focused on developing a platform to design wearable disposable electrotherapy devices, continuing his trend of merging technology with practical healthcare applications. In the field of education, he has created unique teaching content that blends theory with practice, actively involving students in the learning process.
Education
Ph.D., Biomedical Engineering, City University of New York
M.S., Computer hardware architecture, Iran University of Science and Technology
Research Interests
FallahRad's research merges materials science, printed battery technology, integrated circuit design, and printed circuits to develop a platform for designing electrotherapy devices. This platform facilitates the design of electrotherapy devices for various applications such as non-invasive neuromodulation, transdermal drug delivery, wound healing, and pain management.
