Lavie Margolin

Program Manager
Lavie Margolin, MA is the Program Officer for the City College of New York’s S Jay Levy Fellowship. He began working with the fellowship’s initial cohort of fellows in October of 2015. In addition, Lavie is an adjunct professor in the Vocation, Career and Self-Development course for fellows.
Lavie obtained his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Yeshiva University in 2002. He obtained a Master of Arts in Adult Learning from SUNY Empire State in 2015. He returned to SUNY Empire State in the fall of 2021 to be among the first cohort of graduate students studying towards an EdD in Educational Leadership and Change.
Lavie began his career in workforce development in June of 2003. He transitioned into the field of higher education in June of 2008. Since that time, he has worked in various roles under the CUNY umbrella including LaGuardia Community College’s ASAP program.
Lavie has been quoted in hundreds of publications for his expertise in the area of career development including The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. He has written multiple books, including Winning Answers to 500 Interview Questions, a #1 best seller in several career categories in Amazon. Lavie is an active speaker in community-based events providing job searching, networking and salary negotiation tips.
