  • Extensions to solids; wet-weather; energy-efficiency (SHARON, Anammox); food-waste
    • Lab-based; pilot-scale; full-scale; modeling
• There is now a prime opportunity to expand and enhance activities:
  • To comprehensively and holistically look at issues that impact the City - Solid Waste, GHGs, storm water/CSO, and Coastal resiliency.
  • Align with the long term strategic initiative of DEP
    • Lab-based; pilot-scale; full-scale; modeling
  • Expand focus – moving forward to elevate the Institute to the next level –enhanced vision
  • Expand the Institute’s funding sources to focus also on professional development as well as training a work force needed by the City’s comparable agencies
