Beyond Single-Axis Thinking: 

An Introduction to Intersectionality for the CCNY Community

Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) at the CCNY, invites all members of our community to explore an upcoming Seminar via zoom on intersectionality called “Beyond Single-Axis Thinking: An Introduction to Intersectionality.” 

In this seminar, we will briefly explore what intersectionality and unconscious bias are, and how the way others perceive you can influence their behavior toward you. We will discuss strategies for handling difficult situations in a positive and productive way, as well as explore tools and practices that can support education, raise awareness, and help prevent these types of behaviors in your classroom.
