Career and Professional Development

Welcome

Between classes, jobs and family obligations, you might feel like you have little time to think about your career, but it is never too soon to begin planning. Engaging in career and professional development is as essential as your studies for ensuring you’re ready to hit the ground running in the jobs to which you aspire when you finish your degrees.

Toward that end, we offer a range of workshops, events, and one-on-one mentoring to assist you in thinking through your professional future. The Colin Powell School has a growing list of public and private partners that want to hire our students for internships and full-time jobs. We created several resources to help you get these opportunities, including a Career Handbook and a LinkedIn group. We frequently host info sessions, workshops, and events that will help you with your career and personal development.

Some of these opportunities are available through partnerships between the Colin Powell School and specific organizations and are only open to Colin Powell School students. We encourage you to post additional opportunities that you come across and to network with other members of the group.
