Undergraduate Research Conference

Friday, May 13, 2016
8:00AM to 5:00PM
Shepard Hall, Room 107
The Office of Student Success is proud to host its annual Colin Powell School Undergraduate Research Conference. The conference offers an unparalleled opportunity for the entire  Colin Powell School -- its students, faculty, and staff -- to come together to share their work, engage in cross-disciplinary conversation on topics of shared concern, and develop new relationships that tighten the bonds, personally and academically, that animate our school. The conference, primarily a showcase for the outstanding work of our students, also serves to push their research to new, and higher planes of development -- another example of what makes the Colin Powell School a world-class institution for undergraduate teaching and learning.
This year's conference will feature a keynote lecture by Dr. Vanessa Agard-Jones on the "Politics of Belonging." The conference is free and open to the public. Details to follow.

Involvement Conference

2017 conference date and location to follow
Established in 2013, the Involvement Conference began with a clear objective: to expose students to the variety of professional options and possibilities available in the public sector. Whatever the prospects offer—whether it’s work in a nonprofit organization, government agency, or anything else—the Involvement Conference is a space for students to begin thinking more expansively about connecting their skills and expertise to the opportunities afforded by a career in public service.
