Summer 2023 Course Offerings and Descriptions



The College Now online summer application process is open March 15 – May 4, 2023.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required for all in-person classes, as per CUNY mandate.  Applicants that are accepted into the program will be required to upload their proof of COVID-19 vaccination onto their CUNYfirst account.



The SUMMER 2023 CLASSES will commence Thursday, June 29 and conclude Thursday, August 3, 2023, meeting days:  Monday – Thursday, except the week of July 4, classes will meet Wednesday, July 5 – Friday, July 7.


AES 19903 and PSC 10100 will meet 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and *PSY 10200 will meet 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.


*Applications of Psychology in the Modern World:          Course number: PSY 10200 Credits: 3 Days: Monday – Thursday, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

An introduction to the study of human development and learning, personality and motivation, sex differences, attitudes, aggressions, interpersonal attraction, behavior in groups and work settings, abnormal behavior and its treatment.  Emphasizes on the ways in which psychological theory and research can be applied to individual and social problems. Students are responsible for submitting research papers on related topics.


*Explorations in Architecture:   Course number:  AES 19903          Credits:  3    Days:  Monday – Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

This architecture and design program involves a series of exercises that incorporate issues of critical thinking, aesthetics, structural integrity and the inherent properties of materials.  There will be readings that correspond to the curriculum. Students will be assigned design projects that will culminate in an exhibition, presentation and critique.


*United States Politics and Government: Course number: PSC 10100 Credits: 3 Days: Monday – Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.  

An overview of American government. Analysis focuses on three major areas: the Constitution and the debates of the Founding era, America's political institutions and processes, and the political behavior of the American public. Attention is also paid to major public policies. 


*In-person classes require students to upload proof of COVID-19 vaccination, as per CUNY mandate.  Proof of vaccination is to be uploaded onto your CUNYfirst account, after acceptance into College Now and before classes commence.
