Curricular Practical Training (CPT)

The Department of Computer Science reserves the right to review and determine each student case seeking Curricular Practical Training (CPT) approval, in accordance with the policy established by CCNY’s Office of International Student and Scholar Services (OISSS), Career and Professional Development Institute (CPDI), and Grove School of Engineering (GSoE).

For students seeking CPT approval, be advised that the department policy is to award approval only based on a cooperative agreement between CCNY and the employer.  Such a copy of this agreement should be attached to the application.

The Department of Computer Science will ensure that:

1. A cooperative agreement has already been established between the College, CPDI, and the company/employer.
2. The student is confirmed to have successfully registered for a Co-op Study course in the semester/session in which he/she is seeking CPT approval.
