Mini Med School Previous Events

Our ninth Mini-Medical School will discuss "Making Smoking A Thing of the Past". The session will take place on October 10th from 5:30PM-7PM at the CCNY Campus in the North Academic Center (NAC) Ballroom. Our eighth Mini-Medical School session will discuss “Nutrition and Healthy Aging”. The session will take place on May 9th from 5:30-7PM at the CCNY Campus in the North Academic Center (NAC) 1/103. Our seventh session of Mini-Medical School discussed Sleep Health and the Importance of Getting a Good Night’s Sleep.  The presentation was given by Dr. Mediha I. MARCH 14, 2018

Our March session featured a panel of doctors discussing Cancer Screening Prevention and Control.  The panelists were Dr. Lewis Kampel,  Medical Oncologist, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Medical Director, Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care, Dr. Donna D’Alessio, Radiologist, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Dr. Arnold Markowitz, Gastroenterologist, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.  Each panelists gave a short presentation on their area of expertise followed by a discussion around audience questions. Read more:  https://www.ccny.cuny.edu/news/learn-how-400000-cancer-cases-could-be-prevented-each-year-ccny-mini-medical-school

In honor of hypertension month this Mini-Medical School focused on Hypertension Prevention & ManagementDr. James Croll, Director of Division of Nephrology and Medical Director of Saint Barnabas Health System Hemodialysis Center gave the presentation.
