City College Awarded $850,000 5-Year Blockchain Systems Grant by the Algorand Foundation.

Dr. Rosario Gennaro, Cybersecurity Program Co-Director and Professor of Computer Science, is the recipient of an $850,000 grant to further City College’s contributions to the advancement of blockchain systems over a five-year period. The funding is part of a $5.75 million grant from the Algorand Foundation to a Yale University-led consortium. The Foundation is the charitable arm of blockchain company Algorand, founded in 2017 by Silvio Micali of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
