You are cordially invited to the premiere and panel discussion of the film Una Vida, Dos Países [One Life, Two Countries]: Children and Youth (Back) in Mexico.  The event will take place on Thursday, March 24 from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM at Aaron Davis Hall on the campus of The City College of New York (CCNY) in Harlem.
Following the 30-minute film screening, we will have remarks by Rebeca Vargas, CEO of the US-Mexico Foundation.  Then CCNY President Lisa S. Coico will moderate a panel discussion with:

In the last five years, one million Mexicans living in the US have returned to Mexico for a variety of reasons.  Una Vida, Dos Países shares some of the stories of those living between two countries, cultures, languages and education systems.  The film will have an accompanying curriculum for secondary schools in the US and Mexico and is a tool to learn about how migration and economic policies - or the absence of them - impact the lives and opportunities of so many.
The film is multilingual in Spanish, English, and Zapotec with subtitles throughout. The event is free and open to all. A reception will follow.
