2022-2023 Important Deadlines

SUMMER 2022

July 28th, 2022 - Last day to submit a Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Appeal for the summer 2022 semester.

*Contact CCNY Financial Aid Office to request for a appeal application to be posted onto your student forms page for review.

August 1st, 2022 - Last day to submit a Federal Direct Loan, Parent PLUS loan, or GRAD PLUS loan request for a summer 2022 semester only loan.

August 2nd, 2022 - Last day for a student to submit a 2022-2023 Professional Judgment Appeal for summer 2022 semester.
**Contact CCNY Financial Aid Office to request for a professional judgement appeal application to be posted on your student forms. Categories of appeals are - Dependency Appeal / Family Contribution Appeal (Income adjustment) / Cost of Attendance Appeal (Expense Adjustment)

August 23rd, 2022 - Last day for a student who is only enrolled for summer to have an official/valid (non-rejected) 2022-2023 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file. 

September 21st, 2022 - Last day for a summer 2022 only enrolled student to submit documents for 2022-2023 Verification

FALL 2022

August 31st, 2022 - The last day to submit a fall 2022 New York State Excelsior Scholarship application. Current Excelsior recipients should not submit this application. www.hesc.ny.gov

September 14th, 2022 - Last day to declare or change major/minor concentration (this is required for students with 60 or more earned/transfer credits). The deadline for any changes or updates on the 2022-2023 TAP Application is June 30, 2023.

October 3rd, 2022 - Last day to submit a Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Appeal for the fall 2022 semester.

October 14th, 2022 - Last day for a student to submit a 2022-2023 Professional Judgment Appeal request for a fall 2022 only appeal (**see additional notes below).

November 4th, 2022 - 60% Date of the term -  Student has earned 100% of the federal funding for the current payment period.

Return of Federal Aid prior to 60% mark 

*December 5th, 2022 - Last day to submit a Federal Direct loan, Parent PLUS loan, or GRAD PLUS loan request for a fall 2022 only loan (*see additional notes below).

December 21st, 2022 - Last day for a student who is only enrolled for fall to have an official/valid (non-rejected) 2022-2023 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file. 

January 9th, 2023 - Last day for a fall 2022 only enrolled student to submit documents for 2022-2023 Verification. Document(s) must be submitted before Spring 2023.

June 30th, 2023 - Last day to apply for Tuition Assistance Program (TAP).

SPRING 2023

May 23rd, 2023 - Last day for a student who is enrolled for fall and spring or spring only to have an official/valid (non-rejected) 2022-2023 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file. 

June 30th, 2023 - Last day to apply for Tuition Assistance Program (TAP).

July 24th, 2023 - Last day for a spring 2023 only enrolled student to submit documents for 2022-2023 Verification.

*May 1st, 2023 - Last day to submit fall 2022 and spring 2023 Federal Direct loan, Parent PLUS loan or GRAD PLUS loan. In order to receive a fall and spring loan, you must have COMPLETED 6 credits in the fall and must be registered for 6 credits for the spring semester.

**March 15th, 2023 - Last day to submit fall 2022 and spring 2023 or spring 2023 only Professional Judgement Appeals /Dependency Appeal/ Family Contribution Appeal (income adjustment) / Cost of Attendance Appeal (expense adjustment).

Established federal processing deadlines prohibit the college from processing a 2022-2023 FAFSA after the student's last date of enrollment. Students who have not filed a FAFSA for the 2022-2023 academic year and who are no longer enrolled for the academic year have missed the deadline to be considered for Federal Student Aid programs for the 2022-2023 academic year.
