Innovative pitches by student startups from The City College of New York and other CUNY and SUNY schools won big in CCNY’s 2025 Zahn Innovation Center Incubator Venture Competition. Eighty-two thousand dollars in prizes went to the budding inventor/entrepreneurs to develop their ideas. The startups competed for grand prizes of $15,000 each in four categories, with each second-place finisher receiving $5,000. The Bachelor of Science in Digital Game Development, at The City College of New York’s Division of Science, will admit its first cohort of students this fall. The new degree program, originally called Gaming Pathways, is a collaboration between the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment, Urban Arts, and CCNY and Science Arts Engagement New York’s Harlem Gallery of Science.
