Profile
I received my B.S. and M.S. from PUC-Rio, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Already in the US, I went to MIT for my Ph. D. studies, and graduated in 2006. After that, I spent a semester as a post-doctoral fellow at MSRI (Berkeley, CA), and started a job as an Assistant Research Professor at Duke University, where I worked until July of 2009.
I am happy to have the opportunity of working at City College. I believe I share some of the reality of many students here (as for example being the daughter of immigrants, and being the first generation to obtain a college degree), which I hope will be helpful to better serve as an instructor.
Research Interests
My areas of interest are complex geometry and geometric analysis, in particular Calabi-Yau manifolds
