Preferred Attributes / Aptitudes:

  • Experience in video production, editing, and narrative storytelling
  • Experience with, and access to, a DSLR camera preferred
  • Experience with Final Cut Pro, Final Cut X, Adobe Premiere, iMovie, OR similar video editing software.  Also should be skilled in using Google Docs.
  • Skills in graphic content creation is a plus (Canva, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator etc.)
  • Ability to problem solve, prioritize tasks, effectively communicate, and manage projects
  • Must be able to contribute creative ideas for content and create original content

Role Responsibilities / Experiential Learning Opportunities:

  • Brainstorm and implement video concepts with the company president to help build video strategies, including creating storyboards, staging video shoots, and gathering/editing video content  (A handheld recorder is available)
  • Organize marketing video archive and raw footage, editing previous videos as needed
  • (Occasional) lead video coverage and editing of workshops and presentations for promotional use and archival purposes
  • Post-production editing of footage for uses including social media, blog, promotion etc.

You will work at least 112 hours (6-9 hours per week) and be eligible to earn 2 credits. The hours are flexible and will work around your schedule with the possibility of working remotely after 2 months. This is an unpaid situation with the possibility for hire. (For Credit Only)
