Student Support Services Program (SSSP)

Students are encouraged to register for free, weekly tutoring with trained peer tutors, most of whom are SSSP students. Tutoring is available for many courses in math, science, social science, and the humanities. Sessions are typically one-on-one, with additional small group sessions offered to students enrolled in the same classes. Academic coaching in study skills is also available by appointment.

To sign up for tutoring, SSSP students must register in person with the coordinator of the Academic Resource Center, located in Harris Hall 03. Log in to AdvisorTrac to make an appointment to see the coordinator or for academic skills coaching.

Workshops and Information Sessions

SSSP holds workshops and information sessions designed to help students set and achieve academic and career goals. Workshop topics include time management, study skills, writing personal statements, overcoming test anxiety, and managing stress. Information sessions on study abroad, graduate school, internships, career center services, financial aid, and choosing a major are held each year.

Advance registration for workshops is recommended. Log in to AdvisorTrac to register for workshops.
