The Teaching and Learning Center invites you to a series of hands-on workshops on creating more accessible course materials in Brightspace. All sessions are open to faculty and staff. Choose the format that works for you:

Option 1: Online (both topics in one session)

Basic HTML and Accessible Word Documents in Brightspace. Combined event takes place Friday, October 16, 12:00-2:00 PM using Zoom. It covers both in-person workshops below in a single virtual session.

Option 2: In person (attend one or both)

Accessible Word Documents in Brightspace: Tuesday, October 20, 1:00-2:00 PM | TLC, NAC 4/220A. Learn how to create and share accessible Word documents in Brightspace, including common issues, document structure, and practical strategies for improving course materials.

Basic HTML and Accessibility in Brightspace: Thursday, October 22, 1:00-2:00 PM | TLC, NAC 4/220A. Learn how to use Brightspace’s text editor and basic HTML to create more accessible content. We’ll also discuss accessibility concerns with PDFs and when alternative formats may work better.
