School of Education Admission's Test (SEAT)

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ALL SEAT EXAMINATIONS WILL BE DONE ONLINE AND IN-PERSON ON SELECTED DAYS. THE LINK TO REGISTER FOR THE EXAM IS BELOW. PLEASE READ THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SEAT EXAM CAREFULLY BEFORE REGISTERING.  

Fall 2026 Schedule

All undergraduate students, who want to become Education majors MUST TAKE AND PASS THE S.E.A.T EXAM

Please register for a single SEAT Test Date.

The SEAT is available to CCNY students who meet the following conditions:

• A minimum GPA
  2.5 (CE, BCE majors)
  2.7 (Secondary majors) 
  2.8 (ECE majors)
• Have earned a minimum of 45 credits
• Have completed 6 credits of composition (FIQWS/ENGL 11000 and ENGL 21000 or higher)
• Have completed  3 credits of Mathematics (MATH 15000, 17300,18000, 19000 or higher)

If you have questions concerning your eligibility to take the test please contact your academic advisor. Students should sign up at least one week before the scheduled testing date. Students taking the test will be asked to access the test room ½ hr before the scheduled time for the test.
