National Scholarships and Fellowships--Fall Program Deadlines

National Scholarships and Fellowships--Fall Program Deadlines

This list is a guide for undergraduate, graduate students and alumni. These programs support various opportunities and have deadlines in September, October, and November. If you intend to apply for any of these programs fall of 2025, please contact Jennifer Lutton, National Scholarships Director, to discuss. It is important to begin working on application essays early. For some programs, like the Fulbright US Student Program, and the Marshall and Rhodes Scholarships, the campus deadline is September 1. Applications should be in strong form (but not necessarily ready to submit) by this date. Marshall and Rhodes require letters of endorsement from the college. Fulbright applicants participate in a Campus Committee Review, which includes an interview with a small committee of faculty and/or staff.

With the exception of the Critical Language and Gilman scholarships, the list is largely for programs that graduate study or post-graduate activities (i.e. Fulbright). There are many other opportunities for undergraduates that have deadlines in the spring (e.g. Goldwater, Truman, and Udall). To view a fuller list of programs, visit the National Scholarships and Fellowships links page.
