Eleven City College students and Distinguished Lecturer Lynne Scott Jackson from the media and communications art department participated in a group interview January 30 with Afghani television journalist Parwiz Shamal of Tolo News. Mr. Shamal is on a two-week visit to the United States, supported by a U.S. State Department grant, to produce a series of reports on diversity in America.
The participating students were: Keanu Adams, Alexie Eric Cruz, Zia Durrani, Farifa Hussain, Gatjon Kaja , Vanessa Ogueri, Katia Roma, Ramdat Singh, Andre Smithson and Timothy Taylor. The visit was arranged by the Office of Communications and Marketing with help from the Office of Admissions, the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development and Professor Jackson.
