Graduating senior Albert Connolly wins Fulbright to Colombia

Albert Connolly, a Spanish language major in the Macaulay Honors Program at The City College of New York, is the winner of a 2019-2020 Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) award to Colombia. The competitive national award is administered by the Fulbright U.S. Student Program.

A senior, Connolly returns to the South American country this fall after spending fall 2018 studying Spanish literature at Universidad Central, Bogotá, in the capital city.

The Brooklyn native, who graduates this June with a BA degree, plans a career as an ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) teacher.

Connolly’s other academic honors at City College include the Starcevic Memorial Scholarship for Study Aboard (2016) and the Lisa Goldberg/Revson Scholarship (2018).
