CCNY Hosts NYC Science & Engineering Fair Preliminary Round

The City College of New York will host the preliminary round of the New York City Science & Engineering Fair, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday, March 2, in the Great Hall, Shepard Hall. Sponsored by the New York City Department of Education and the City University of New York, the fair is the largest high school research competition in New York City.


The fair is a two-tiered competition, with approximately 485 projects invited to compete in the preliminary round. Those scoring in the top 25 percent will be invited to participate in the final round, Tuesday, March 25, at the American Museum of Natural History.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony March 27 at Hunter College. They will go on to represent New York City at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair to be held in Los Angeles in May.
