Welcome

This website for Teaching Fellows and Partner Teachers contains general information as well as program and cohort-specific information.  Please reach out to your advisor if you have questions. The Director of the CCNY Teaching Fellows Program and the Teaching Collaborative SOEprograms@ccny.cuny.edu can also provide information.

The New York City Teaching Fellows (NYCTF) and New York City Teaching Collaborative (NYCTC) are alternative teacher preparation programs leading to New York State teacher certification. These programs are a collaboration among the New York City Department of Education, CUNY, and certain private universities in New York City.  Following pre-service coursework offered by the partner university and the NYC DOE, participants teach full-time in high needs New York City public schools, while continuing to study at their university, and undergoing continuous in-school supervision and professional development. Tuition costs are subsidized by the NYCDOE. Upon successful completion of the two-year program, teachers earn a master’s degree and are eligible for New York State initial teacher certification.
