Abir Petiwala is a CUNY Baccalaureate student with concentrations in Middle Eastern Studies and French Language & Literature. She is currently researching the literature of the Indian Ocean and hopes to examine the social and cultural identities and boundaries of migrant groups in this region. Her research interests are in migration, imperialism, and post-colonial identities. Outside of her academic interests, she also likes making art, including embroidery and graphic design. |
