ISABEL ESTRADA

Dr. Estrada is an Associate Professor with Tenure in the Department of Classical and Modern Languages and Literatures. She received her doctorate from Columbia University. She has served on the City College and MMUF Fellowships Program Steering Committee since it was created in 2014 and has extensive mentoring experience both at the undergraduate level (at Middlebury College and Barnard College) as well as at the graduate level here at CCNY. Her area of specialization is the literature and film of the Spanish Civil War. In addition to numerous refereed articles, her publications include El documental cinematográfico y televisivo contemporáneo: memoria, representación y formación de la identidad democrática Española (2013). She is currently working on her second book manuscript, entitled Expanding Spanish Cinema: New Forms of Social Life in the Twenty-First Century.
