Born in Egypt, Merna Youssef moved to the United States in 2014 at the age of 18. After completing her high school diploma in 2015, she was admitted to the City College of New York where she decided to major in Physics and Pure Mathematics. Fascinated by black holes and extraordinary astronomical phenomena, Merna is currently studying the General Theory of Relativity to examine space-time geometry around black holes and the existence of dark matter. Upon completing her bachelor’s degree, she is planning to pursue a Ph.D. in theoretical High Energy Physics. Aside from research aspirations, Merna is fond of art and science history. |
