SARA SEWEID
PSYCHOLOGY MAJOR
CITY COLLEGE FELLOW

Born in Egypt, Sara moved to New York City at the age of two.  Although she started her college career in a small private college in a pre-dental program, she realized that dentistry was not her passion.  A year later, she transferred to CCNY and declared her major in Psychology, a subject that has always fascinated her.  Along with Psychology, Sara minors in Anthropology and Women’s Studies. Sara now works as a college assistant in the Psychology Department at City College and spends her free time learning about social justice issues.  In fall 2013, she took the initiative to form the “Students for Justice in Palestine” club at City College. This organization aims to raise awareness about human rights violations against the Palestinian people and to build solidarity with the struggle of the Palestinian people.
