Victoria Juste, a double major in Biology, and Black Studies, served as a Leonard Davis Fellow and a Colin Powell Community Engagement Fellow. As a fellow, she created a chapter of Peer Health Exchange, which helps teens to make healthy and informed decisions. She will work to examine maternal mortality amongst African American women in the United States through analyzing the literature that dates back to over ten years. She will be working on research on the CenteringPregnancy initiative with the Institute for Family Health. Her research interests are in reproductive health and maternal health disparities. Victoria hopes to earn her doctorate in Sociomedical Sciences.
