The G-RISE program sponsors a Research Identity Bootcamp for each cohort of newly appointed trainees, biweekly meetings, mentor and trainee research presentations, workshops on writing/presenting/proposing research, and an annual retreat. Individual Development Plans and a Path-to-the-Professions plan are designed and updated annually by trainees and mentors. The program promotes professional development activities sponsored by the New York Academy of Sciences, the CUNY Graduate Center, CCNY (B3 Seminar Schedule), and other organizations. Each trainee receives a travel allowance to present research findings at a national or regional meeting.
