Professor Lynn Appelbaum Honored for 20 years of Service

The City College of New York media and communication arts(MCA) department will honor one of its own, Professor Lynn Appelbaum, for 20 years of service at a March 13 private reception. In addition, the department has established an endowed scholarship in her honor and created a Facebook page where well-wishers can share stories and post congratulatory messages.

Professor Appelbaum is director of CCNY's advertising/public relations program, which has 200 undergraduate majors and in 2012 began offering a master of professional studies degree in branding and integrated communications. She has helped raise the program's profile in New York's media and marketing community, arranging internships at leading advertising agencies and encouraging professional organizations to establish scholarships for City College students.

To donate to the scholarship fund, call The City College Fund (212) 650-6525 or visit www.citycollegefund.org/MCA.htm .
