Virtual Latinx/a/o Heritage Month Kickoff 2020

The Department of Student Life and Leadership Development at The City College of New York kicks off Latinx/a/o Heritage Month with a virtual celebration, including a discussion about each of the Latinx/a/o Heritage Month honorees.

The kickoff takes place on Tues., September 15 from 12:30-2 p.m.; to RSVP, please click here. The honorees will be featured on a virtual and on-site honoree wall, and three individuals from each of the 21 Latin American countries were chosen to be featured.

There is also a separate subpage for each country, which will display the honorees. The subpage will showcase each honoree’s name, what they are known for, and a short bio with a reference link. The virtual event will also include fun games such as trivia and bingo.

All semester long, the new Virtual Beaver Engagement Center will offer CCNY students the opportunity to engage in a variety of events virtually, such as clubs, organizations, activities and more. Student Life and Leadership Development is continuing to work diligently to provide virtual experiences, a pivotal aspect of the CCNY student experience.
