CCNY celebrates Halloween with 5th annual Scarefest on Oct. 31

After two years of being a virtual event, the 5th Annual Halloween CCNY Scarefest is back in-person for some spooky fun. The event is open to the public on a first come, first served basis and takes place on Monday, Oct. 31 from 4-10 p.m. Adults and kids are welcome. Groups of 10 will embark on a spooky 10-minute guided tour through the secret tunnels of City College’s creepy gothic buildings, and be in for a scary good time as our haunted tunnels come to life. Renowned CCNY historian and author Andreas Killen is new Stuart Katz Professor

Internationally renowned City College of New York historian, Andreas Killen, has been selected as 2022-2023 Stuart Z. Katz Professor in the Humanities & the Arts. The endowed professorship is supported by a $1 million gift to City College by distinguished alumnus Stuart Z. Katz, Esq., a 1964 graduate. The appointment is for one year. New York City Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) Commissioner Jess Dannhauser, New York City Mayor Eric Adams, The City University of New York (CUNY) and The City College of New York announced “College Choice,” a program that will provide college students in foster care with greater support systems, including financial support, so they can attend the college of their dreams without having to worry about the hefty price tag. Ice Hockey in Harlem’s (IHIH) all important Annual Equipment Day will be hosted by The City College of New York on Tuesday, Sept. 20, it was jointly announced by Nick Tagarelli, CCNY Class of 1975 and Hockey Alumni president, and Malik Garvin, IHIH program director.
