Goals

The overall goal of the Adaptation project AIDE-STEM is to continue building on the blueprint initiated during the CCNY Catalyst award. AIDE-STEM aims for meaningful institutional transformation that fosters an equitable and supportive professional environment for all faculty with a particular emphasis on women and Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) STEM faculty.

Project Activities

AIDE-STEM focuses on implementing initiatives that will generate long-lasting cultural changes to support all faculty during their academic progression through the following activities:

Activity 1: Increase the promotion, retention, and mentoring of women and BIPOC STEM faculty.
Activity 2: Improve workload equity and internal support for research and collaboration.
Activity 3: Foster inclusion for all by addressing systemic obstacles.
