On March 30, the vocal quartet The Manhattan Transfer released their latest album entitled The Junction. For three days in April of 2017 the Transfer was at the Sonic Arts Center recording vocal parts for The Junction with SAC director Paul Kozel engineering. Additionally, Paul recorded percussionist Luisito Quintero for the album as well. Winy Taveras provided technical assistance for these recording sessions. SAC alumni Andrey Radovski, (2013) is a busy production sound mixer (location sound recording) for narrative and documentary films. Two narrative films that Andrey worked on recently premiered this week at the 2017 SXSW Film Festival; Like Me and Most Beautiful Island. Most Beautiful Island was just awarded the Grand Jury Prize for narrative film! Congratulation to Andrey and the entire cast and crew!
A recent issue of Variety Magazine featured an article on the audio crew for the Netflix show Luke Cage. The article mentions the work of SAC 2006 alum David Tirolo as Pro Tools operator.
