Learn more about our facilitator Felix Luar:

As a first-gen Dominican-American immigrant from Washington Heights, Felix (he/him) struggled to feel fully at ease in his skin. He attended schools that serve the diasporas, and though they equipped him with the tools needed to achieve the American dream, he always felt like an outcast for being queer. Ballroom introduced him to a world of others like him, where he could live out loud, explore the layers of his identity, and exist authentically. With this in mind, he founded the Haus of Luar in hopes of helping liberate others from similar backgrounds to his through creative energy, community building, and bold authenticity.
