Data Science and Engineering at CCNY applies core engineering, programming, and computation concepts to other disciplines. The ability to utilize data analysis, computation, modeling, and visualization makes anyone versatile, no matter the industry they are in. The DSE faculty immerses students in the world of data professionals, equipping them to leverage those abilities and solve problems with data. Students will build on the skills associated with computation and software engineering incorporating artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data integration.
The program is designed for individuals who seek high-impact roles in the tech industry as well as working professionals looking for data-related roles in their fields or company. The DSE program presents the opportunity to network and collaborate with peers in other disciplines on practical projects through the Grove School of Engineering and broader CUNY community thus giving students ample and valuable experience in research in a short time frame preparing them for careers in academia or research.
- Applicants are accepted for the Fall semester only.
- We cannot accept non-degree students.
- Unofficial transcripts are allowed to be submitted into the application.
The core DSE faculty review applications in batches. Applications are evaluated in two rounds.
