Big Ideas of Math for Young Children

This video collection of mathematics teaching was developed by the Early Childhood Advisory Group at The City College of New York in a collaboration with teachers in the early childhood programs of the YMCA during the 2013-14 school year.  The images in this collection represent teachers’ efforts to incorporate the big ideas of the Common Core State Standards into the everyday routines and activities of their early childhood classroom.  The videos are organized around the following:
